Florida High School Basketball - Central can't hold off Hernando

The Hernando Leopards basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Central Bears to 36 in the Leopards league victory on Tuesday.

The Leopards now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crystal River for a contest on Friday, January 20. Hernando will battle a Pirates team coming off a 70-52 non-league loss to Dixie County (Cross City, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 3-8.

The Bears (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Weeki Wachee (Weeki Wachee, FL). The Hornets come into the contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Weeki Wachee was nudged by Lecanto (Lecanto, FL), 56-25, in a non-league contest.
