California High School Basketball - Palma topples Monterey
January 17, 2023: Salinas, CA 93901 In Tuesday's league outing, the Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting Monterey Dores (Monterey, CA), by a count of 53-45.
The Chieftains (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Alisal (Salinas, CA). The Trojans go into the outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Alisal defeated Hollister (Hollister, CA), 62-52, in a league match.
With the defeat, Monterey moves to 8-4 on the year. The Dores host Carmel (Carmel, CA) to face the Padres in a non-league match on Thursday, January 19. The Padres enter the match with a record of 8-5. Carmel won 50-44 in their recent non-league match against Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA)
