Amundsen Vikings (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chicago Academy Cougars (Chicago, IL), 72-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Amundsen upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Vikings travel to Lake View (Chicago, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a Chicago Public - White North bout on Friday, January 19. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 13-5. Lake View won 66-32 in their recent non-league bout against Foreman (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Senn Bulldogs (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public - White North bout, on Friday, January 19. Chicago Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 60-53 league win over Prosser (Chicago, IL).
