Maryland High School Basketball - St. Charles holds off Great Mills
January 17, 2024: Great Mills, MD 20634 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the St. Charles (Waldorf, MD) and the host Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD), saw St. Charles's basketball squad hold off Great Mills by a tally of 53-48.
With the victory, St. Charles improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The travel to North Point (Waldorf, MD) to confront the Eagles in a Southern Maryland challenge on Friday, January 19. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. North Point won 60-51 in their recent league challenge against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, January 19. Great Mills will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 65-55 league win over Lackey (Indian Head, MD).
