The Chopticon Braves basketball team (Morganza, MD), was nudged 57-54 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD)

The Hornets now possess a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leonardtown for a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, February 16. Great Mills will battle a Raiders team coming off a 68-48 league win over Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 14-6.

The Braves (13-8) will now prepare for their battle against Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD). The Cougars come into the Southern Maryland battle with a 13-8 record. In their last battle, Thomas Stone edged St. Charles (Waldorf, MD), 64-60, in a league battle.
