Virginia High School Basketball - L.C. Bird overwhelms Powhatan
January 17, 2024: Chesterfield, VA 23832 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the L.C. Bird Skyhawks (Chesterfield, VA) and the visiting Powhatan Indians (Powhatan, VA), saw L.C. Bird's basketball squad wallop Powhatan by a tally of 78-54.
With the victory, L.C. Bird improves its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Skyhawks host Midlothian (Midlothian, VA) to play the Trojans in a Dominion challenge on Friday, January 19. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Midlothian won 63-54 in their recent league challenge against Richmond City School of the Arts (Richmond, VA)
Next up, the Indians play the Cosby Titans (Midlothian, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Powhatan will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 68-59 league win over James River Midlothian (Midlothian, VA).
