Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX) and the host Sealy Tigers (Sealy, TX), saw Wharton's basketball squad hold off Sealy by a tally of 55-49.

With the victory, Wharton improves its record to 9-15 on the campaign. The Tigers host Bellville (Bellville, TX) to confront the Brahmas in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Brahmas come into the challenge with a record of 4-6.
