California High School Basketball - Sotomayor overwhelms Maywood Academy
January 17, 2024: Los Angeles, CA 90065 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Sotomayor Wolves (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA), saw Sotomayor's basketball squad wallop Maywood Academy by a tally of 56-24.
With the victory, Sotomayor improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Wolves host Marquez (Huntington Park, CA) to play the Gladiators in a challenge on Friday, January 19. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a record of 12-1. Marquez won 59-26 in their recent league challenge against Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA)
Next up, the Nighthawks play the Maywood CES Wolfpack (Maywood, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 19. Maywood Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 93-16 league loss to Marquez (Huntington Park, CA).
