North Carolina High School Basketball - Butler defeats Independence

January 17, 2025: Matthews, NC 28105

The Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) basketball were winner over the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 56-44 in Friday's league test.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 18. Butler will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 6-5 record after their 99-68 league win over Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC).

The Patriots (14-3) will now prepare for their test against Ambassador Christian School (Huntersville, NC). The Lions come into the non-league test with a 12-4 record.
