Illinois High School Basketball - Fairfield thwarts Carmi-White County
January 17, 2025: Fairfield, IL 62837 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL) and the visiting Carmi-White County Bulldogs (Carmi, IL), observed Fairfield's basketball team knock off Carmi-White County by a score of 62-53.
The Mules (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Richland County (Olney, IL). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Richland County prevailed over Roxana (Roxana, IL), 60-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Evansville Day Eagles (Evansville, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Carmi-White County will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 68-36 non-league loss to Eastern Greene (Bloomfield, IN).
