New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM), 60-58 in a non-league match.

With the victory, New Mexico Military Institute advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Colts host Loving (Loving, NM) to meet the Falcons in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 3-9. Loving lost 50-40 in their recent non-league match against Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM)

The Indians now own a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dexter for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Cobre will meet a Demons squad coming off a 52-50 non-league win over Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM). The Demons record now stands at 4-8.
