In Friday's league contest, the visiting Crandall Pirates basketball team scored a good 65-52 win over the Ennis Lions.

The Pirates (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Terrell (Terrell, TX). The Tigers come into the 5A Region II District 15 contest with a 9-17 record. In their last contest, Terrell dropped by Corsicana (Corsicana, TX), 69-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Midlothian Panthers (Midlothian, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Ennis will attempt to better on its 11-16 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 18-8 record after their 53-42 league win over Kaufman (Kaufman, TX).
