In Friday's league contest, the visiting Greenfield-Central Cougars basketball team scored a big 72-50 triumph over the New Castle Trojans.

The Cougars (11-2) will now prepare for their contest against Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN). The Royals go into the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Eastern Hancock smashed Union County (Liberty, IN), 68-26, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Rushville Lions (Rushville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. New Castle will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 44-38 non-league loss to Union County (Liberty, IN).
