The Greenwood Bulldogs basketball squad (Greenwood, MS), was nudged 52-47 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Kosciusko Whippets (Kosciusko, MS)

With the victory, Kosciusko advances its record to 18-3 on the year. The Whippets host Noxubee County (Macon, MS) to meet the Tigers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 4-4. Noxubee County won 42-32 in their recent league battle against Kemper County (DeKalb, MS)

The Bulldogs now own a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caledonia for a 4A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, January 21. Greenwood will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 63-47 league loss to Louisville (Louisville, MS). The Cavaliers record now stands at 15-5.
