New York High School Basketball - Hamer can't hold off South Bronx Prep
January 17, 2025: Bronx, NY 10454 South Bronx Prep Cougars (Bronx, NY) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hamer (Bronx, NY), 58-54 in a non-league match.
With the victory, South Bronx Prep advances its record to 10-1 on the year. The Cougars host South Bronx (Bronx, NY) to face the Phoenix in a PSAL 2A Bronx I match on Friday, January 31. The Phoenix enter the match with a record of 9-2. South Bronx won 71-52 in their recent non-league match against Morrisania (Bronx, NY)
The now own a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy for a PSAL 2A Bronx II match on Friday, January 24. Hamer will face a squad coming off a 50-43 non-league loss to Bronx United (Bronx, NY). The record now stands at 2-8.
