California High School Basketball - North sneaks past Torrance
January 17, 2025: Torrance, CA 90501 The North Saxons (Torrance, CA) basketball edged the host Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA), 68-63 in Friday's league bout.
The Saxons now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they host Rancho Verde for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. North will play a Mustangs team coming off a 65-58 league loss to Rancho Christian (Temecula, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 16-5.
With the loss, Torrance falls to 17-5 on the campaign. The Tartars host El Segundo (El Segundo, CA) to play the Eagles in a Pioneer bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-15. El Segundo lost 71-61 in their recent league bout against South (Torrance, CA)
