In Friday's league contest, the host Richmond Raiders basketball team scored a big 65-29 triumph over the Scotland Fighting Scots.

The Raiders (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Pine Forest smashed Westover (Fayetteville, NC), 76-57, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Fighting Scots battle the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills contest, on Friday, January 24. Scotland will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record.
