January 17, 2025: Delhi, IA 52223 Maquoketa Valley Wildcats (Delhi, IA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA), 62-34 in a league match.
With the victory, Maquoketa Valley advances its record to 14-0 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Starmont (Arlington, IA) to face the Stars in a Tri-Rivers - West match on Tuesday, January 21. The Stars enter the match with a record of 1-13. Starmont lost 87-27 in their recent league match against East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA)
The Pirates now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Linn for a Tri-Rivers - West match on Tuesday, January 21. Alburnett will face a Lynx squad coming off a 71-44 league win over Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA). The Lynx record now stands at 13-1.
