Menlo-Atherton Bears (Atherton, CA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA), 41-40 in a league match.

With the victory, Menlo-Atherton advances its record to 10-5 on the year. The Bears travel to Aragon (San Mateo, CA) to face the Dons in a Peninsula - Bay match on Wednesday, January 22. The Dons enter the match with a record of 6-11. Aragon won 51-47 in their recent non-league match against Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA)

The Scots now own a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monta Vista for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Carlmont will face a Matadors squad coming off a 38-36 league win over Los Altos (Los Altos, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 8-5.
