In Friday's non-league contest, the host Centennial Broncos basketball team scored a close 37-36 win over the Centura Centurions.

The Broncos (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Central City (Central City, NE). The Bison come into the non-league contest with a 12-2 record. In their last contest, Central City edged Ravenna (Ravenna, NE), 61-13, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Centurions battle the Cozad Haymakers (Cozad, NE) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Centura will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Haymakers come into the contest with a 3-11 record after their 62-21 league loss to Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE).
