The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Midfield Patriots (Midfield, AL) and the visiting Childersburg Tigers (Childersburg, AL), observed Midfield's basketball team overwhelm Childersburg by a score of 84-22.

The Patriots (20-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lee (Huntsville, AL). The Generals come into the non-league challenge with a 6-15 record. In their last challenge, Lee trounced Columbia (Huntsville, AL), 57-46, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Winterboro Bulldogs (Alpine, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Childersburg will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record.
