Alabama High School Basketball - Providence Christian triumphant over Cottonwood
January 17, 2025: Dothan, AL 36303 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Providence Christian Eagles (Dothan, AL) and the visiting Cottonwood Bears (Cottonwood, AL), observed Providence Christian's basketball team overwhelm Cottonwood by a margin of 70-44.
The Eagles (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Geneva County (Hartford, AL). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Area 2 challenge with a 9-12 record. In their last challenge, Geneva County trounced Samson (Samson, AL), 56-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bears battle the Rehobeth Rebels (Dothan, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Cottonwood will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 6-18 record after their 33-29 non-league win over Houston Academy (Dothan, AL).
