The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mount de Sales Academy Sailors (Catonsville, MD) and the host Gerstell Academy (Finksburg, MD), observed Mount de Sales Academy's basketball team overwhelm Gerstell Academy by a margin of 51-24.

The Sailors (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Centennial (Ellicott City, MD). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Centennial was trounced by Atholton (Columbia, MD), 34-33, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the battle the St. Paul's Girls Gators (Brooklandville, MD) in a IAAM B challenge, on Wednesday, January 22. Gerstell Academy will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record.
