The Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) basketball crushed the host Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 59-12 in Friday's league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 10-3 record. They play next when they host Chatham for a Dogwood game on Tuesday, January 21. Gretna will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 47-35 league win over Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-2.
