January 17, 2025: Hayward, WI 54843 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the South Shore Cardinals (Port Wing, WI) and the host Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles (Hayward, WI), observed South Shore's basketball team overwhelm Lac Courte Oreilles by a score of 46-19.
The Cardinals (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Mellen (Mellen, WI). The Granite Diggers come into the Northern Lights challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Mellen was routed by Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI), 55-45, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI) in a Northern Lights challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Lac Courte Oreilles will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Castle Guards come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 51-36 league win over Hurley (Hurley, WI).
