Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Pasco Pirates (Dade City, FL), 26-21 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Tarpon Springs advances its record to 4-10 on the year. The Spongers travel to Clearwater (Clearwater, FL) to face the Tornadoes in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 22. The Tornadoes enter the match with a record of 10-6.

The Pirates now own a 0-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sunlake for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. Pasco will face a Seahawks squad coming off a 43-30 non-league win over Lecanto (Lecanto, FL). The Seahawks record now stands at 13-5.
