Texas High School Soccer - Dekaney nudged by Iowa Colony
January 17, 2025: Iowa Colony, TX 77583 Iowa Colony Pioneers (Iowa Colony, TX) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Dekaney Wildcats (Houston, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Iowa Colony advances its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Texas City (Texas City, TX) to clash with the Stingarees in a 5A Region 3 District 18 test on Friday, January 24. The Stingarees come into the test with a record of 5-4. Texas City lost 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Conroe (Conroe, TX)
The Wildcats now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Aldine for a 6A Region 2 District 14 test on Thursday, January 23. Dekaney will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Fort Bend Bush (Richmond, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-2.
