The Hyannis Longhorns basketball team scored 34 points and limited the host Sandhills Valley Mavericks to 33 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Longhorns now have a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edgemont for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 20. Hyannis will clash with a Moguls squad coming off a 57-22 non-league win over Newell (Newell, SD). The Moguls record now stands at 1-8.

The Mavericks (0-10) will now prepare for their outing against Sandhills/Thedford (Dunning, NE). The Knights enter the non-league outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, Sandhills/Thedford got by Anselmo-Merna (Merna, NE), 74-67, in a non-league outing.
