Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX) and the host Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX), saw Franklin's basketball squad wallop Montwood by a tally of 67-19.

With the victory, Franklin improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Eastwood (El Paso, TX) to confront the Troopers in a 6A Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, January 21. The Troopers come into the challenge with a record of 12-13. Eastwood lost 69-24 in their recent league challenge against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Rams confront the Coronado Thunderbirds (El Paso, TX) in a 6A Region I District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 21. Montwood will attempt to improve on its 8-16 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 13-11 record after their 28-24 league win over Socorro (El Paso, TX).
