Washington High School Basketball - Capital tops Peninsula
January 18, 2023: Gig Harbor, WA 98332 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Capital Cougars (Olympia, WA) and the host Peninsula Seahawks (Gig Harbor, WA), saw Capital's basketball squad knock off Peninsula by a tally of 69-53.
With the victory, Capital improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Timberline (Lacey, WA) to play the Blazers in a 3A South Sound challenge on Friday, January 20. The Blazers come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Timberline won 86-65 in their recent league challenge against Yelm (Yelm, WA)
Next up, the Seahawks play the Yelm Tornados (Yelm, WA) in a 3A South Sound challenge, on Friday, January 20. Peninsula will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Tornados come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 86-65 league loss to Timberline (Lacey, WA).
