California High School Basketball - Salesian holds off La Salle
January 18, 2023: Los Angeles, CA 90023 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Salesian Mustangs (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting La Salle Lancers (Pasadena, CA), saw Salesian's basketball squad hold off La Salle by a tally of 61-54.
With the victory, Salesian improves its record to 11-11 on the campaign. The Mustangs host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA) to confront the Warriors in a Camino Real challenge on Friday, January 20. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 19-4. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy won 73-54 in their recent league challenge against Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA)
Next up, the Lancers confront the Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster, CA) in a Camino Real challenge, on Friday, January 20. La Salle will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Spirits come into the challenge with a 20-3 record after their 86-75 league loss to Cathedral (Los Angeles, CA).
