Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA), 70-62 in a league bout.

With the win, Magna Vista upgrades its record to 4-11 on the season. The Warriors travel to George Washington (Danville, VA) to clash with the Eagles in a Piedmont bout on Friday, January 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-6. George Washington lost 76-63 in their recent non-league bout against Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, January 20. Martinsville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Phoenix go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 68-59 non-league loss to George Washington (Danville, VA).
