Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Neighborhood Academy nips Summit Academy
January 18, 2023: Pittsburgh, PA 15224 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Neighborhood Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting Summit Academy Knights (Herman, PA), saw Neighborhood Academy's basketball squad hold off Summit Academy by a count of 57-54.
With the victory, Neighborhood Academy upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The host Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA) to play the Gators in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Gators come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. Geibel Catholic won 65-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA)
Next up, the Knights play the Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Summit Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 58-40 non-league loss to St. Joseph (Natrona Heights, PA).
