California High School Basketball - West edges Shalhevet
January 18, 2023: Torrance, CA 90503 The West Warriors (Torrance, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Shalhevet Firehawks (Los Angeles, CA), 77-72 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Warriors (10-11) will now prepare for their test against South (Torrance, CA). The Spartans go into the Pioneer test with a 10-13 record. In their last test, South got by Wiseburn- Da Vinci (El Segundo, CA), 68-57, in a league test.
The Firehawks now own a 19-5 record. They play next when they travel to Price for a Mulholland test on Thursday, January 19. Shalhevet will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 65-27 league win over Environmental Charter (Lawndale, CA). The Knights record now stands at 10-7.
