Alabama High School Basketball - Abbeville tops Long
January 18, 2024: Abbeville, AL 36310 Abbeville Yellowjackets (Abbeville, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL), 59-51 in a league bout.
With the victory, Abbeville upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Ariton (Ariton, AL) to play the Purple Cats in a 2A Area 3 bout on Friday, January 19. The Purple Cats come into the bout with a record of 11-5.
Next up, the Rebels play the Barbour County Jaguars (Clayton, AL) in a 2A Area 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Long will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record.
