January 18, 2024: Pass Christian, MS 39571 Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS), 74-17 in a league bout.
With the win, Pass Christian upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The Pirates travel to Moss Point (Moss Point, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 13-10. Moss Point won 38-23 in their recent league challenge against Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Poplarville will attempt to improve on its 0-22 season record. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 42-32 league win over Gautier (Gautier, MS).
