Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Valley Buffalos (Orderville, UT) and the host Escalante Moquis (Escalante, UT), saw Valley's basketball squad knock off Escalante by a count of 58-38.

With the victory, Valley upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Buffalos travel to Bryce Valley (Tropic, UT) to play the Mustangs in a 1A Region 20 challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Bryce Valley lost 34-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Manila (Manila, UT)

Next up, the Moquis play the Panguitch Bobcats (Panguitch, UT) in a 1A Region 20 challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Escalante will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 69-60 league win over Valley (Orderville, UT).
