Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the South Charlotte Thunder Thunder (Matthews, NC) and the host Grace Academy Lions (Matthews, NC), saw South Charlotte Thunder's basketball squad hold off Grace Academy by a tally of 49-45.

With the victory, South Charlotte Thunder improves its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Thunder host Greater Cabarrus Stallions (Concord, NC) to confront the Stallions in a North Carolina Home Education - West challenge on Friday, January 19. The Stallions come into the challenge with a record of 6-12. Greater Cabarrus Stallions lost 57-21 in their recent league challenge against South Guilford HomeSchool (High Point, NC)

Next up, the Lions confront the Varsity Opponent (, ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. Grace Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record.
