Mississippi High School Basketball - Pass Christian holds off Poplarville
January 18, 2024: Pass Christian, MS 39571 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS) and the visiting Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS), saw Pass Christian's basketball squad hold off Poplarville by a tally of 40-35.
With the victory, Pass Christian improves its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Moss Point (Moss Point, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 10-13. Moss Point lost 31-26 in their recent non-league challenge against UMS-Wright Prep (Mobile, AL)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Poplarville will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 27-14 league loss to Gautier (Gautier, MS).
