Upper Scioto Valley Rams (McGuffey, OH) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ridgemont Golden Gophers (Mount Victory, OH), 40-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Upper Scioto Valley upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Rams host Arlington (Arlington, OH) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Arlington won 43-37 in their recent league bout against Pandora-Gilboa (Pandora, OH)

Next up, the Golden Gophers play the Ridgedale Rockets (Morral, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Ridgemont will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 45-28 league win over Hardin Northern (Dola, OH).
