Illinois High School Basketball - West Prairie toppled by Augusta Southeastern
January 18, 2025: Augusta, IL 62311 Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting West Prairie Cyclones (Sciota, IL), 63-53 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Augusta Southeastern upgrades its record to 7-13 on the year. The Suns travel to Barry Western (Barry, IL) to face the Wildcats in a West Central match on Friday, January 24. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 4-14.
The Cyclones now sport a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bushnell-Prairie City for a Prairieland match on Wednesday, January 22. West Prairie will face a Spartans squad coming off a 58-55 non-league loss to Galva (Galva, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 4-13.
