Vermont High School Basketball - Bellows Free Academy can't hold off Missisquoi Valley
January 18, 2025: Swanton, VT 05488 Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds (Swanton, VT) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bellows Free Academy Bullets (Fairfax, VT), 66-63 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Missisquoi Valley advances its record to 3-6 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Harwood (Moretown, VT) to face the Highlanders in a non-league match on Monday, January 20. The Highlanders enter the match with a record of 7-2. Harwood lost 56-43 in their recent non-league match against Hazen (Hardwick, VT)
The Bullets now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stowe for a Mountain match on Monday, January 20. Bellows Free Academy will face a Raiders squad coming off a 69-44 non-league loss to Woodstock (Woodstock, VT). The Raiders record now stands at 2-7.
