South Dakota High School Basketball - Northwestern Area holds off Little Wound
January 18, 2025: Kyle, SD 57752 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Northwestern Area Wildcats basketball team scored a close 73-68 triumph over the Little Wound Mustangs.
The Wildcats (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD). The Titans go into the B Region 1 contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Leola/Frederick nipped Ellendale (Ellendale, ND), 54-25, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Pine Ridge Thorpes (Pine Ridge, SD) in a A Region 7 contest, on Saturday, January 25. Little Wound will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Thorpes go into the contest with a 8-6 record after their 63-34 non-league win over Sioux Valley (Volga, SD).
