New Mexico High School Basketball - Los Alamos bested by Mesa Vista
January 18, 2025: Ojo Caliente, NM 87549 Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM), 59-46 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mesa Vista advances its record to 12-4 on the year. The Trojans host McCurdy (Espanola, NM) to face the Bobcats in a 2A District 5 match on Thursday, January 23. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 9-6. McCurdy won 50-41 in their recent non-league match against Cuba (Cuba, NM)
The Hilltoppers now own a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moriarty for a 4A District 2 match on Tuesday, January 21. Los Alamos will face a Pintos squad coming off a 62-42 non-league win over Socorro (Socorro, NM). The Pintos record now stands at 7-9.
