Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles (Washington, DC) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Texas School for the Deaf Rangers (Austin, TX), 44-42 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Model Secondary School for the Deaf advances its record to 6-11 on the year. The Eagles travel to Burke (Washington, DC) to face the Bengals in a DCSAA A match on Tuesday, January 21. The Bengals enter the match with a record of 3-3. Burke lost 51-27 in their recent league match against Spencerville Adventist Academy (Spencerville, MD)

The Rangers now own a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Veritas Academy for a TAPPS 4A District 4 match on Tuesday, January 21.
