January 18, 2025: Lansing, MI 48917 The Waverly Warriors (Lansing, MI) basketball edged the visiting Sexton Big Reds (Lansing, MI), 81-74 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Jackson for a non-league bout on Monday, January 20. Waverly will play a Vikings team coming off a 50-24 league win over Ypsilanti (Ypsilanti, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, Sexton falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Big reds travel to Grand Ledge (Grand Ledge, MI) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Grand Ledge won 54-53 in their recent league bout against Everett (Lansing, MI)
