Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Willard Crimson Flashes (Willard, OH), 42-37 in a league match.

With the victory, Vermilion advances its record to 4-7 on the year. The Sailors host Brookside (Sheffield, OH) to face the Cardinals in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 8-5. Brookside won 74-66 in their recent league match against Keystone (La Grange, OH)

The Crimson Flashes now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clyde for a non-league match on Thursday, January 23. Willard will face a Fliers squad coming off a 91-63 non-league win over Fostoria (Fostoria, OH). The Fliers record now stands at 6-8.
