January 18, 2025: Danville, IL 61832 First Baptist Christian Knights (Danville, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Berean Christian Kingsmen (Rockford, IL), 36-34 in a non-league match.
With the victory, First Baptist Christian advances its record to 4-3 on the year. The Knights host Maranatha Christian Academy (Mattoon, IL) to meet the Huskies in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 2-10. Maranatha Christian Academy lost 21-13 in their recent non-league match against Berean Christian (Rockford, IL)
The Kingsmen now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake County Baptist for a match on Tuesday, January 21. Berean Christian will meet a Lions squad coming off a 45-12 non-league loss to Marquette Manor Baptist Academy (Downers Grove, IL). The Lions record now stands at 0-2.
