January 18, 2025: St. Martinville, LA 70582 The New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) basketball were winner over the host St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA), 38-29 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 14-6 record. They play next when they host Oakdale for a non-league bout on Monday, January 20. New Iberia will play a Warriors team coming off a 60-15 league win over Avoyelles (Moreauville, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 16-5.
With the loss, St. Martinville falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Erath (Erath, LA) to play the Bobcats in a 3A District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Erath lost 55-32 in their recent league bout against Abbeville (Abbeville, LA)
