Alaska High School Basketball - Skagway holds off Petersburg
January 18, 2025: Petersburg, AK 99833 The Skagway Panthers basketball team scored 32 points and limited the host Petersburg Vikings to 25 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Hydaburg for a 1A Southeast game on Sunday, February 2. Skagway will confront a Warriors team coming off a 54-26 league loss to Kake (Kake, AK). The Warriors record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Petersburg falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host Craig (Craig, AK) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 7-1. Craig won 57-39 in their recent non-league game against Skagway (Skagway, AK)
